May is Wildfire Awareness Month and with the help of Nevada’s Living With Fire program we are able to put on a spring green waste removal day! The focus for this event is creating a 0-5 foot “ember-resistant” zone around your home, but any fuels/green waste reduction is welcome!

When: Saturday May 30th from 11:00-3:00 (after the Somersett evacuation drill)

Who: For Mogul Highlands, Mogul Meadows, and Sunset Bluffs

What: Four dumpsters for green waste AND volunteers available for curbside pick-up

Where (2 locations!):
1) Lower Mogul: Field in front of the Truckee Meadows Water Authority Field Station at 701 Cliff View Drive
2) Upper Mogul: Bitterbrush Road at the park trailhead
